Man arrested with drugs in northeastern Greece
A foreign national was arrested in Greece on Wednesday afternoon after he was found with thousands of pills of an unspecified drug which he had smuggled into the country from Turkey.
The man was detained by officers of the local anti-drugs squad in a rural area near Didymoteicho, at the border region of Evros.

Fires shot at special forces boat from Greek side
A Turkish special forces boat that was patrolling the Evros (Meriç) River came under harassment fire shot from the Greek side of the shared border, the governor's office of the northwestern province of Edirne has said.
The special force police were patrolling the Turkish side of the river and found a corpse of a migrant stuck in the roots of trees.

Athens bracing over reports of migrant surge
The Hellenic Coast Guard has increased the number of patrols along Greece's eastern sea border amid reports that refugees and migrants are moving en masse by bus from inland camps in Turkey to the coast opposite the Greek islands of Chios, Lesvos and Kos, stoking fears of a repeat of what happened in February at the Evros land border and in the eastern Aegean.
