Meet Market: Easter Edition | Athens | April 27-28

The Meet Market (themeetmarket.gr) has been calling on Athenians to come together at its nomadic bazaars in various locations around the city since 2007. More than 120 Greek designers, artisanal producers, craftsmen and women, and artists make up this edition at the Technopolis cultural complex in Gazi (100 Pireos).

Mid East tension hits stocks, hopes for containment stem losses

Equities retreated on April 15 after Iran ramped up Middle East tensions by launching a barrage of missiles and drones at Israel over the weekend, fuelling fears of a wider conflict in the volatile region.

However, analysts said there was hope among traders that the crisis could be contained.

Mandatory POS use in farmer’s markets

The implementation of Point of Sale (POS) machines for credit and debit card transactions in farmer's markets will begin on Tuesday,  the Panhellenic Federation of Professional Sellers of Farmer's Markets announced Saturday.

This marks a new era for farmer's markets, obligating the universal use of POS machines to optimize service for both consumers and vendors. 

Insects and Vegetables | Athens | November 15

The environmental NGO Astiki Melissa and producers and consumers' community Mpostani are set to present an informative talk about the value of insects in the production and variety of vegetables and which produce would disappear if insects were to go extinct. The event will take place at the Kypseli Municipal Market (agorakypselis.gr) between 3 and 5 p.m. with free admission.
