Two women sent to court for 'abetting suicide' before man jumps off Bosphorus Bridge
Two women are facing arrest for "abetting suicide" after they shouted at a man considering suicide to jump off the Bosphorus suspension bridge so as to relieve a traffic jam.
The suspects, identified as Hülya U. and Merve Ö., are accused of "abetting a suicide," for shouting and cursing at Erol Çetin, who committed suicide on the Bo?aziçi suspension bridge early on March 8.
Turkey detains ISIL suspects, seizes suicide vest
Turkish security forces have arrested two suspected Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants and seized plastic explosives and a suicide vest, Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency reported March 7.
The two were apprehended at a border crossing, when authorities noticed that they were trying to place a bag inside the back of a truck that had entered Turkey from Syria.

Major 7.9 magnitude quake strikes southwest of Indonesia: USGS
A powerful and shallow earthquake of magnitude 7.9 struck off the west coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra on March 2, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicentre was 808 km (502 miles) southwest of Padang, USGS said. It was 10 km (six miles) deep.
