Evia ferry returns to port after power outage
A ferry on route from Marmari in Evia to Rafina in eastern Attica had to return to port after experiencing a power outage.
Some 221 passengers and 18 crew members were on board the "Panorama" when the power went out.
The vessel safely returned to Marmari at around 6 p.m.
The ferry operator said it will arrange for alternative transportation for passengers.

Rafina Port Authority: Plans for ship electrification

Fire in Evia – Marmari is also being evacuated – Ships on standby
A large fire is in progress that broke out in the early hours of Monday in Fygias Karystos in Evia, while through 112 an order was given for the preventive evacuation of the settlements of Kokkini and the Doctors' Building Cooperative. A few minutes ago, a precautionary evacuation order was given for Marmari as well.
Gale-force winds keeping ferries tied up
Ferry boats have been banned from sailing in the Aegean Sea as winds in the area reached speeds of 9 and 10 on the Beaufort scale on Tuesday morning, preventing safe passage.
Ferries to the Aegean islands are tied up at port in Piraeus, where only services to the nearby Saronic Gulf are running as usual.

Greek private island among world’s top 22
A privately-owned Greek island has been selected among the world’s top 22 by Conde Nast Traveler (CNT) for those who wants “utter seclusion and perfect peace, in a location off-limits to everyone”.
For 6,700 British pounds per week, holidaymakers can rent a privately-owned island and villa at Petalioi complex of islands, 45 minutes from Athens by speedboat.

Bodies of man, woman found off Dodecanese islands
The remains of an unidentified man were discovered in the sea off Marmari beach on the Dodecanese island of Kos, on Friday, local authorities announced on Saturday.
The body was in a state of advanced decomposition and had black underwear.
