ND leads SYRIZA by 9 percentage points in general election poll

Commenting on the losses suffered by leftist SYRIZA in Sunday's local and regional authority runoffs, former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis attributed it to "inconsistencies" in its stances.

ND lead expands to 8.5 percent according to final exit poll

Greece's conservative opposition New Democracy party is projected to win the European Parliament elections with an 8.5-percent margin, according to a final poll carried out by five firms.

New Democracy is seen clinching 32.5 to 34.5 percent of the vote, against 24 to 26 percent for the ruling left-wing SYRIZA.
