Some parents refuse to comply with the law that requires their children to wear masks and take self-tests

Prime Minister Florin Citu on Sunday said, during a videoconference with the prefects and the DSPs (Public Health Directorates) representatives, that he wants face to face physical presence in schools this year, and that the safety of the children must remain the most important, mentioning that the established rules are necessary.

Ljubljana – Nearly all employees and users of services will have to comply with the vaccinated-recovered-tested rule, known in Slovenia by its PCT acronym, under a new regulation which the government adopted on Saturday and which becomes effective on 15 September.

Students from the 1st to the 4th grade will not wear masks in class. Masks are not mandatory for preschool groups, the Ministry of Education has announced.

There are currently 110 patients on respirators, while 1.571 people have been hospitalized.
The total number of registered cases since the outbreak of the pandemic was 783.826, and 7.398 people lost their lives due to complications caused by coronavirus infection.

"The law must work for everyone"

In a "dark red" scenario, only kindergartens with 100% vaccinated or post-sick staff will work.

Kindergarten children will not wear protective face masks, regardless of age. A child may wear a protective mask there only at the recommendation of a doctor or at the request of a parent.

But, according to the CDM portal, the Ministry of Education cannot exclude from school any child who does not wear a mask due to their legal right to education.
Although the Institute of Public Health recommended that masks be mandatory - this was not accepted.

As of today, vaccinated employees against COVID-19 will not be required to wear masks at their workplaces, according to an Order by Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov signed on Tuesday (July 6th).

However, this Order revoked same relief for cured employees who were ill and they should continue to wear masks.

Engineers at MIT and Harvard University have designed a novel face mask that can diagnose the wearer with Covid-19 within about 90 minutes. The masks are embedded with tiny, disposable sensors that can be fitted into other face masks and could also be adapted to detect other viruses.

France savored a fresh sense of freedom on June 17 as people were allowed to remove face masks when outside for the first time since last autumn and  Disneyland Paris welcomed visitors after an eight-month COVID hiatus.
