World Marked International Worker's Day
International Workers' Day usually takes place every year on May Day.
Some countries celebrate Labour Day on a different date which is significant to them, for example the United States opt for the first Monday in September.
The day has been recognised since the late 19th century, mainly thanks to the rise of trade unions.

Turkey celebrates May Day under lockdown
Turkey has marked International Workers' Day, also known as May Day, under the full nationwide lockdown to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Due to the full lockdown implemented across Turkey, rallies were not held, but May Day was celebrated "symbolically" in various cities.

Hong Kong readies for more mass protests after huge rally
Hong Kong is gearing up for more protests this week after hundreds of thousands of anti-government demonstrators braved heavy rain to rally peacefully on Aug. 18, marking a change to what have often been violent clashes.
The Demonstrations in Hong Kong Gathered Together over 288,000 People
A mass demonstration in Hong Kong's suburb, Yen Long, gathered 288,000 people, according to organizers of the protest quoted by the TASS.
Earlier, police used tear gas to disperse demonstrators. Some radical actors were throwing bricks and other items into the police. According to reports, several people have been injured in the clashes. For detainees there is still no mention.

Bus services to be disrupted on May 30, 31
Bus services in Athens will be disrupted on Wednesday, May 30, followed by an all-day work stoppage on May 31 as workers announced on Wednesday they will join the 24-hour strike called by the public sector union, ADEDY, and the General Confederation of Greek Labor (GSEE).
More specifically, buses will run from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Turkey takes to the streets to mark Labor Day
Thousands of people gathered across Turkey, including Istanbul and the capital Ankara on May 1 to mark International Workers’ Day, also known as May Day. In Istanbul, police detained over 80 people across the city and at least four people who wanted to march towards Taksim Square.
