Bosnian Aid Organisation Prepares Thousands of Ramadan Meals for Believers
The meals are intended for "Iftar" suppers, eaten at the end of the day-long fast in Ramadan, when Muslims abstain from food and water from sunrise until sundown for one month.
"The meals are intended for Iftar, but will be provided for [all] people, no matter their religious or national identity," Saliha Roksa, spokeswoman of Pomozi.ba, told BIRN.
NGO proposes free school meals
Ljubljana – The NGO 8 March Institute has tabled two bills to introduce free meals for all children in primary school. Free lunch should be part of a free school concept, the NGO said, hopeful that it could start collecting signatures in support of the proposal in September.

Some 4,000 people break fast at kilometer-long chain of tables
The municipality of the northwestern province of Tekirdağ's Süleymanpaşa district on April 3 set up a kilometer-long chain of tables where some 4,000 residents broker their fast together.
The municipality called the Ramadan event "Table of hearts."

Turkey tightens measures, reinstates weekend curfews
Facing a growing number of COVID-19 cases and fatalities, Turkey will continue to impose partial restrictions to stem the virus's spread, the president said on March 20.
The nationwide curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. will continue, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said after a three-hour-plus cabinet meeting at the presidential complex.
