Gov't aims to plant 82 million saplings until November
Turkey's agriculture and forestry minister said 82 million saplings will be planted across the country until November this year.
"The rooting average of the saplings planted on Nov. 11, 2019 is 95 percent," Bekir Pakdemirli told Anadolu Agency's Editors' Desk in the capital Ankara.

Hen egg production up in November
Turkey's hen egg production increased by 1.2 percent to 1.69 billion units in November 2019 on a yearly basis, Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) revealed on Jan. 13.
The hen egg production increased by 1.3 percent to reach 18.15 billion units during the first 11 months of 2019, TÜİK data showed.

EU, China agree to protect 100 of the other's regional foods
The European Union and China agreed on Wednesday to protect 100 European regional food designations in China and 100 Chinese equivalents in the EU to spur trade, particularly of European food and drinks.
The deal will protect the names of such products as cava, Irish whiskey, feta and prosciutto di Parma, as well as China's Pixian bean paste, Anji white tea and Panjin rice.

Plescoi sausages, sixth EU recognised, protected Romanian product
The European Commission approved the registration of the Romanian product "Plescoi sausages" in the register of the products that benefit from Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), a press release of the community executive informs.
