MAE repatriates 257 Romanian citizens from Portugal, Spain and Morocco
The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informed on Thursday that 101 Romanian citizens have been repatriated from Portugal, 114 citizens from Spain (Tenerife) and 42 from Morocco.
Government: Launch of COVID-19 Official News online platform
The Government, through the Authority for the Digitization of Romania, and the non-governmental organization Code for Romania launched the online platform "COVID-19 Official News" (stirioficiale.ro) and is working on several other such projects regarding responsible social conduct in preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

A number of 97 cases of the novel coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Romania so far, most of them in Bucharest. According to the website of the National Public Health Institute, a total number of 97 have been confirmed, out of which 31 in the Capital.
Man placed in quarantine in Busteni infected with novel coronavirus; 80 cases confirmed in Romania
A 26-year-old man from Prahova County, who was placed in quarantine in Busteni, is the 80th case of novel coronavirus infection in Romania, the Strategic Communication Group announced on Friday. The man returned on 12 March from Italy and entered quarantine the same day. He tested positive for COVID-19 at the "Matei Bals" Hospital.
Coronavirus/ Seven more persons infected; number of confirmed cases in Romania reaches 59
The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) announces on Thursday evening seven new cases of coronavirus, their number nationwide thus reaching 59. One of them is a man, aged 53, from Covasna, who is said to have come from Trentino, Italy, on March 8 and self-isolated at home, a contact with a positive case. The other six persons are from Hunedoara, GCS points out.
Woman returning from Italy, confirmed with novel coronavirus
The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) has announceed a new case of coronavirus in Romania, confirmed in a 45-year-old woman, quarantined in the western city of Arad. According to GCS, the woman had returned from Italy, becoming the 49th case of confirmed COVID-19 infection in Romania.
Seven confirmed coronavirus cases in Bucharest
The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) has reported that there are seven confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bucharest. According to the source, three of them are related to the Gerota case, one has come into contact with the first person infected in Bucharest, and three are citizens who have travelled to Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom.
