Bosnia Urged to Probe Medics Off Sick in Pandemic
After media reported that about 700 medical workers in Bosnia had taken sick leave lately, 300 at the Sarajevo University Clinical Centre, the biggest hospital in the capital, senior doctors and politicians have called for an investigation.

"We have problem with false sick leaves, medical staff members walk around the city"
By Monday, more than 1.000 people got infected with coronavirus in the country and 39 people died, according to Croatian agency Hina.
The coronavirus has so far infected 1.018 people, with outbreaks in Banja Luka (257), Citluk (81), Mostar (55) and Siroki Brijeg (48).
In Sarajevo, the infection was confirmed in 35 patients.

"Solidarity happens much more among equals," Sarajevo-based psychologist Jasna Bajraktarevic said on a regional talk show on N1 TVon March 18. She stressed that the countries in the region should rely much more on each other than on major global actors.
Bosnia Acquits Tycoon Radoncic of Obstructing Justice
The state court in Sarajevo on Wednesday acquitted the leader of the Alliance for a Better Future for Bosnia party, businessman Fahrudin Radoncic, of obstructing the work of the judiciary, along with three other defendants.

President Aleksandar Vucic says Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina "must have the closest relations, which includes mutual respect and respect of the borders."

RS leader Dodik invited to Trump's inauguration
President of the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia Milorad Dodik has been invited to attend the inauguration of the incoming U.S. president, Donald Trump.
Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz is reporting this on Thursday citing the Srna news agency.

CIA director arrives in Sarajevo
CIA Director John Brennan late last night landed at the Sarajevo airport in a U.S. military plane, local newspaper Dnevni Avaz is reporting on Friday.
According to the same source, security has been noticeably increased in the town since Thursday evening.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Radio and Television, BHRT, Bosnia's state television, is experiencing extreme financial hardship, which is making it difficult to support the functioning of the network and might result in it having to stop broadcasting, the network's administration said.

Serbian citizen arrested on terror charges extradited
Elma Djusinac, who was arrested in Bosnia-Herzegovina in late November on suspicion of links to terrorism, was extradited to Serbia on Tuesday morning.
The director of the service for foreigners affairs, Slobodan Ujic, confirmed this to Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni Avaz, saying that she had been handed over to the Serbian border police for further action.
