IN 2 DAYS: Over 40,000 People have been Vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bulgaria

The interest in vaccination in our country continues to increase. Another day with queues for immunization in the country. Vaccination points in Ruse even warn that there is already a shortage of some vaccines.

The executive drug agency reassured that there were enough doses available from the 4 authorized vaccines.

Bulgaria Has Nearly 7 Million Doses of Vaccines

Many people lined up in front of vaccination points in the country in order to obtain a certificate that allows them to continue working.

"We have so far delivered nearly 7 million doses of vaccines, and 2.7 million doses have been injected," Bogdan Kirilov, the executive director of the Medicines Agency, told BNR.

Nine-month high of over 2,000 new coronavirus cases recorded

Ljubljana – Slovenia logged 2,145 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, the highest daily number of confirmed infections since 12 January, according to data by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ). The share of positive tests stood at 29.1%, and another nine patients with Covid-19 died.

Some 5 mln people skipped their third dose, says minister

Some 5 million people who have already received two doses of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccines have skipped their third shot, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, urging them to get the booster shot as soon as possible.

Turkey is presently using both the mRNA vaccine developed by Pfizer/BioNTech and the Chinese company Sinovac's inactivated vaccine in its inoculation drive.
