Duty-free halloumi for Australia?
Cyprus' Minister for Agriculture Petros Xenophontos told the European Union's Agriculture and Fisheries Council on Tuesday that halloumi cheese should be exported to Australia duty-free. He was participating in a discussion on negotiations toward an EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement.

Mlinotest launches €7 million pasta plant

Slovenian olive oil best in Paris competition
An extra virgin olive oil produced by Jasa Olje, a niche Slovenian producer, has been named Best of Show at a major competition in Paris that featured olive oils from across the northern hemisphere.
The oil, branded as Jasa Cuvee, received the award at the Olio Nuovo Days 2023 on 24 March, the Slovenian embassy in France announced on Facebook.

53 restaurants enter Michelin’s first Istanbul guide
A total of 53 restaurants have spotlighted in the selection of the Michelin's first Istanbul Guide, with Fatih Tutak's "Turk" the only place to receive two stars for its "exceptional cuisine."
Located in the Şişli district on the European side, Turk "offers a modern and sophisticated stage for gourmets looking for typically Turkish flavors," the guide said.
