China sends navy to evacuate citizens in Sudan
China has deployed its navy to rescue citizens from conflict-hit Sudan, the defence ministry in Beijing said on Thursday.
Multiple nations have scrambled to evacuate embassy staff and citizens by road, air and sea from Sudan, where fighting between the army and paramilitaries has killed hundreds and led to acute shortages of water, food, medicines and fuel.

Turks evacuated from Sudan arrive in Istanbul
The first Turkish civilians evacuated from Sudan returned to Turkey on Wednesday, with more than 100 people arriving by plane at Istanbul Airport, Reuters footage showed.
The Turks came from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, where they had arrived overland from the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

Boat with 1,687 civilians fleeing Sudan reaches Saudi: foreign ministry
A boat with 1,687 civilians from more than 50 countries fleeing violence in Sudan arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, the foreign ministry said, the largest rescue effort by the Gulf kingdom to date.
Greek nationals and families rescued from Sudan with German assistance
Thirteen individuals, including Greeks and members of their families, were rescued and airlifted from Sudan on Wednesday, arriving in Amman, Jordan on German flights.
One of the rescued individuals was the Metropolitan of the Archdiocese of Nubia, Savvas.
Ten more Greeks evacuated from Sudan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the evacuation of ten more Greeks from Sudan Tuesday.
The ten boarded German planes and have arrived in Amman, Jordan.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said on April 24 that a total of 1,380 Turkish citizens and 110 people from 13 countries were taken out of Sudan by busses and they are on their way for evacuation.

New 72-hour Ceasefire was agreed in Sudan
Sudan's warring parties have agreed to a 72-hour ceasefire from midnight. This was announced by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. It is at least the third ceasefire to be announced since violence erupted earlier this month. To date, none of them have been complied with.
