Human smugglers have started to use new rhetoric in order to trick migrants in Turkey into making the perilous journey to Greek islands with the hope of a better life, while also lowering the prices of the journeys on mostly unsafe dinghies.
Industrial Production Declines by 1.6% Month-on-Month in July
Industrial production in the EU has declined by 1% on a monthly basis in July and this is the first decrease since November, 2014.
According to Eurostat, the worst decline was registered in Slovakia (-15.9%) and the Czech Republic (-9.7%).
In Bulgaria, industrial production declined by 1.6% in July, compared to June, thus renewing the negative trend in the industrial sector.

Greece, Bulgaria to jointly patrol borders
Greek and Bulgarian police are to start joint patrols along the Greek-Bulgarian and Bulgarian-Turkish borders in a bid to prevent undocumented migrants from continuing their journeys via the so-called Balkan Route.
Citizens' Protection Minister Nikos Toskas discussed the matter with Bulgaria's Interior Minister Rumiana Bachvarova during a recent visit to Sofia.

Bulgaria 'Counts on Czech Support' for Schengen Entry
The Czech Republic has thrown its support behind Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area, its Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka has said, according to the press office of his Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev.
The Bulgarian head of state is on a two-day visit to Prague, having met with Czech counterpart Milos Zeman on Monday.

Bulgarian Man Detained over Arms Trafficking in Hungary
The Bulgarian driver of a truck transporting arms was detained in Hungary, local media say.
The man was arrested after a customs inspection of the vehicle in the district of Bacs-Kuskun.
Customs officers say a "significant" amount of arms were found inside the German-plated truck.
Pretrial proceedings were launched into the development.
Migrant influx is down but deal spat fuels fears
The number of migrants arriving in Greece dropped 90 percent in April, the European Union border agency Frontex said Friday, a sign that an agreement between Turkey and the EU to curb migration has had an impact, though tensions between Ankara and Brussels over Turkey's reluctance to amend its anti-terrorism laws have fueled fears that the deal will collapse.

Bulgarian Tourists Stuck on Santorini by General Strike in Greece
About 500 Bulgarian tourists remain stuck on Greece's Aegean island of Santorini due to a strike of ferry companies, Sofia-based broadcaster bTV reported on Friday.
Five Bulgarian travel agencies had sent tourists on package tours to Santorini for the long weekend, a representative of a Bulgarian tour operator told bTV. May 6 is a holiday in Bulgaria.
Bulgaria Signs Protocol on EU's Readmission Agreement with Turkey
Bulgaria has become the first EU Member State to sign a protocol for implementing an agreement for readmission of irregular migrants by Turkey, Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala has said.
The protocol was signed in Turkey by Efkan Ala and his Bulgarian counterpart Rumyana Bachvarova, the interior ministry in Sofia said in a statement on Thursday.
