Heavy Storms Hit Serbia and Montenegro

Torrential rain and strong winds have caused power outages in parts of Montenegro and Serbia. 

A large part of Montenegro, including the capital Podgorica, was left in darkness for hours on Monday due to the failure of the electricity network. Power company Montenegrin Electric Transmission System said on Tuesday that it had deployed all its available teams to repair the damage.

Republic of Moldova's pro-European parties' victory hailed by Bucharest

The incumbent president, Traian Basescu hails the victory of the pro-European parliamentary parties of the Republic of Moldova and hopes that the modernisation process of this country and the nearness to the European Union will be speeded up, highlighting that Romania will further be a partner in carrying out these goals, according to the Presidential Administration.
