Poll: Six in 10 happy with new president
Six in 10 Greeks have a positive view of the choice of Katerina Sakellaropoulou as Greece's new president, according to an opinion poll by Pulse for Skai.
The survey showed New Democracy retaining a lead of 12.5 percentage points over SYRIZA, with 38 percent backing the ruling conservatives over 25.5 percent for the leftist opposition.

Lawmakers approve changes in penal code
Greek MPs approved in principle on Wednesday night a Justice Ministry bill revising the penal code with stricter penalties for migrant trafficking, rape and child abuse.
The legislation was backed by ruling New Democracy, Movement for Change (KINAL) and far-right Greek Solution, while main opposition SYRIZA, the Communist Party and MeRA25 voted it down.

Varoufakis' MeRA25 party to oppose diaspora vote bill
In an apparent turnaround from its original position, the MeRA25 party of former leftist finance minister Yanis Varoufakis said it will oppose the government's planned bill granting full voting rights to diaspora Greeks, describing it as an attempt to "deceive" diaspora Greeks and to "violate" their voting rights.
Varoufakis: Claims of Greek request to print drachmas 'nonsense'
In comments to Skai, former leftist finance minister Yanis Varoufakis described as "nonsense" claims that, while at the helm of the ministry in 2015, he had lodged a request with Moscow to print drachmas for Greece.
SYRIZA shifts on diaspora vote
Following a session of its political secretariat Friday, the main leftist opposition SYRIZA party shifted position on New Democracy's initiative to grant full voting rights to diaspora Greeks, indicating that it could compromise on the basis of proposals made by the Communist Party (KKE) and the MeRA25 party of former leftist finance minister Yanis Varoufakis.
