A weak and moderate wind will blow, strong in the Koava area, and occasionally stormy, southeasterly in the south of the Banat and in the lower Danube region.

Today in Western Bulgaria it will stop snowing before noon and during the day the clouds will break and decrease, over many areas, until mostly sunny weather. In Eastern Bulgaria there will be rainfall, in the Ludogorie and the Fore-Balkans mixed with snow, and in the afternoon the precipitation will weaken and stop, at the latest in the evening in the northeastern regions.

Sunny weather will prevail today, but in the hours before noon in many places in the plains and valleys there will be fog, which in the western regions of the Danube plain and the Upper Thracian lowlands, where it will remain quiet, will last almost all day.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Friday a Code Yellow advisory for storms, valid in the entire country from Friday to Saturday morning. Thus, until Saturday, 10:00hrs, on relatively extended areas, there will be periods of atmospheric instability, with frequent thunders, torrential rains, hail and storms.

Code yellow advisories of abundant snowfall and blizzards will become valid starting this evening for 20 counties of Romania, with precipitation and winds picking up speed to be expected in the remaining counties, according to the National Weather Administration (ANM).

The National Weather Forecaster (ANM) issued on Tuesday a nationwide bitter freeze warning effective until the morning of January 2.

According to the forecast, between December 30, 2014, 20:00 hrs and January 2, 2015, 10:00 hrs, arctic temperatures will be gripping the country, especially at nights and in the morning.
