Choreographer Marianna Kavallieratou explores definitions of gender in "They," a new piece she is presenting at Bios from February 5 to 8, featuring dancers Alexandros Vardaxoglou and Alexis Fousekis. Kavallieratou, a graduate of the London Contemporary Dance School and The Place, danced in the 1990s with Robert Wilson at the Watermill in New York, where she also later taught.

Zorba the Greek | Athens | January 10 - March 31
Popular writing duo Thanasis Papathanasiou and Michalis Reppas have adapted Nikos Kazantzakis's emblematic novel "Zorba the Greek" for the stage in a Greek production directed by veteran Stamatis Fassoulis and starring Grigoris Valtinos in the title role.

City Soundscapes | Athens | September 22-24
Artists Alexandros Drymonitis, Alyssa Moxley, Antidrom, Delia Gonzalez and Kostadis have each been commissioned by sound art curator Andrew Spyrou to prepare a new work using recordings and sonic inspirations encountered within a 0.5 kilometer radius of Atopos CVC in the Metaxourgeio district of central Athens.

Clouzot's L'Enfer | Athens | July 12
The Bios venue in downtown Athens is screening iconic silent movies, accompanied by music, on its rooftop. On Wednesday, July 12, it will be showing Henri-Georges Clouzot's "L'Enfer" (Inferno), a tale of crazy jealousy inspired by Dante and Proust, which was unfinished when released in 1964 and is shot partly in black-and-white and partly in color. The screening starts at 9.15 p.m.
