Record Snowfall Hits Moscow, Kills One
At least one person has died and several injured after Moscow experienced its heaviest day of snowfall in a day since records began, Russian officials say.
Moscow's meteorological service said Moscow had seen more than half its average monthly snowfall in the space of 24 hours, beating the previous record set in 1957, Interfax news agency reported on February 4.

There will be light wind, mainly from west-northwest.
Maximum temperatures of between 5°C and 10°C in most regions, in Sofia around 6°C.
Greece bracing for storms
Greece will be hit by a storm front between Friday night and Sunday, according to the Hellenic Meteorological Service (EMY).
More specifically, the bad weather - including powerful southerly winds, reaching 8 and possibly 9 on the Beaufort scale and heavy rainfall - will affect the Ionian Sea islands and western Greece beginning on Friday night.

Hundreds of Tourists have been Blocked in New Zealand Because of Storm
A tropical cyclone crossed the island state by destroying roads, uprooting trees and knocking down electric poles, Nova TV reported.

Cold snap grips orange orchards in Peloponnese
Icicles hang off oranges in an orchard in Argolida, in the northern Peloponnese, on Saturday morning following a cold snap. After plunging to -4 degrees Celsius (24.8 Fahrenheit) in the Argos Plain on Friday night, temperatures rose slightly over the weekend. It was unclear whether a series of cold snaps will create problems for citrus fruit harvests in the region.
