It will be mostly sunny over most of the country today.

There will be low clouds over the eastern regions almost all day, with light rains only in some areas.

It will be mostly cloudy over the country today, but there will be almost no rains, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) told FOCUS News Agency.

In the afternoon, the clouds will start to scatter and decrease from the West. Light to moderate wind will continue blowing from West-Northwest, bringing warmer air today.

The first snow of the season in high places in Ankara, and torrential rains in the lower parts of the Turkish capital, confused the daily rhythm of life, Turkish NTV television reported.

 There will be changing cloudiness over the country today, often substantial in the afternoon, but without significant rains.

Light to moderate wind will blow from West-Northwest. Maximum temperatures will range between 5°C and 10°C,  the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) told FOCUS News Agency.

A moderate, sometimes strong northwestern wind will continue bringing cold air to Bulgaria. The rains will continue today, transforming into snowfall in the highlands of Western Bulgaria, the Pre-Balkan and the Ludogorie regions.

“When the Atlantic hurricane season begins to quiet down in late October and November, it’s time to cast an eye toward the Mediterranean Sea for “medicanes”–a nickname for storms that develop tropical characteristics just off the coast of southern Europe,” said Weather Underground’s Bob Henson in a Washington Post report.

The weather will remain unchanged today. It will be mostly cloudy and rains will fall in many areas. There will be light to moderate wind from East-Northeast.

Temperatures will range between 7°C and 12°C in most areas, in Sofia around 7-8°C.

Heavy rain and hail has hit Athens, turning the roads into rivers, causing chaotic traffic jams at the city center.

The phenomena are expected to make the situation at the flooded Mandra even worse.
