The United States has expressed its appreciation for the efforts Türkiye has been exerting to enable Ukrainian agricultural products to reach global markets through the Black Sea.

The issue was raised during a phone conversation between U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu late June 25, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Türkiye continues efforts with the United Nations, Ukraine and Russia to ensure the export of Ukrainian grain to the world markets, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on June 23.

Türkiye next week will host Russian, Ukrainian and U.N. officials for talks aimed at resuming stalled grain exports across the Black Sea, media reported on June 21. 

The meeting in Istanbul would be preceded by a visit to Moscow by a Turkish defense delegation this week, CNN Turk cited Turkish presidential sources as saying.

Turkey has hailed a UN plan with Ukraine and Russia to create a food corridor through the Black Sea in a bid to avert famine in the world's poorest countries as Ankara hosted a meeting between Turkish and Russian foreign ministers, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Sergey Lavrov.

Turkey has sent two letters indicating that Greece violates the international law by arming the islands with the de-militarized status in the Aegean Sea, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said, calling on Athens to give proper answers to Turkey instead of escalating the tension.

Turkish and Russian top diplomats, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Sergey Lavrov will discuss the modalities of a secure corridor to be established through the Black Sea for the shipment of nearly 20 million tons of grain to world markets to avoid a major global food crisis.

Turkey has sent a letter to the United Nations to change the name of the country's foreign name, "Turkey," and register it as "Türkiye" from now on, a top Turkish diplomat has announced.

Turkey has summoned ambassadors of France and Germany over the activities of the terrorist organization PKK on their territories, warning all NATO members, as well as Sweden and Finland, who wish to join the alliance, to end their ties and links with all anti-Turkey terror groups.

The United Arab Emirates hopes to finalize a trade partnership agreement soon with Turkey in a bid to increase the trade volume, its foreign minister has said during a visit to Istanbul to hold talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
