Presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan inaugurate Fuzuli International Airport

 

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Azerbaijani counterpart has jointly inaugurated a new airport in the recently liberated area from the Armenian occupation.      

Erdoğan is the first head of state to land at Fuzuli International Airport, Azerbaijan's first airport in the area recently liberated from Armenia.

Turkish foreign minister speaks with Iranian, UAE counterparts

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke on Oct. 21 over the phone with his counterparts from both Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Çavuşoğlu and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed regional issues, especially developments related to Afghanistan and Syria, as well as bilateral relations, said a Foreign Ministry statement.

Taliban delegation to hold talks with Turkish officials

Top officials of Afghanistan's interim government will hold talks with senior Turkish officials on Oct. 14, an official said.

Afghanistan's acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is leading a high-level delegation to Turkey, Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi said on Twitter.

Turkey wants voice of Non-Aligned Movement to become stronger: FM

Turkey supports the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and wants to see its voice become stronger, the country's foreign minister said on Oct. 11. 

At a summit marking NAM's 60th anniversary in Serbia's capital Belgrade, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu hailed the movement as the "voice of a just and inclusive world."

Turkish foreign minister meets Inter-Parliamentary Union head

The Turkish foreign minister on Oct. 6 met with the head of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), a global organization of national parliaments, in the Turkish capital Ankara.


"Hosted IPU President Duarte Pacheco. We value parliamentary diplomacy. Will support IPU's works on irregular migration," Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Twitter.
