Thousands of people turned out on Now. 4 to watch Mexico City's Day of the Dead parade as costumed dancers, drummers and floats took a festive turn down the Paseo de la Reforma boulevard all the way to the historic colonial main square.

The Mexican Embassy in Turkey on Nov. 2 commemorated the Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition honoring those who have passed away.

Highlighting the day's significance, Ambassador Jose Luis Martinez remarked in his speech that the Day of the Dead tradition can be traced back to Mexico's pre-Hispanic peoples.

Ancient Mexican artifacts recovered from abroad are among the archaeological treasures on display at an exhibition showcasing the country's cultural heritage 200 years after it won independence from Spain.

BELGRADE - The ballet company of the National Theatre in Belgrade will perform the play Alexander at Mexico's Cervantino International Festival on October 23-24, the Serbian national theatre announced on Tuesday.

The play has been included in the main programme of Mexico's most prestigious festival, to be held in the historic city of Guanajuato, near Mexico City, on October 8-26.
