President Klaus Iohannis participated on Friday in the activities occasioned by the centennial anniversary of the "Mihai Viteazul" National Military College, context in which he underscored that the Army is a fundamental institution of the Romanian state. Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and the members of her cabinet will be convening today in a solemn meeting to celebrate the National Day of Romania in the centennial year of the Greater Union of December 1, 1918, in Alba Iulia on Thursday.

Szobi Cseh, one of the greatest and best-loved stunt men of Romania, also an actor and director has died at Bucharest Fundeni Clinical Hospital early on Friday from a long illness, the institute said in a release to AGERPRES.

Csech, 71, died of severe liver, heart and lung complications, failing to respond to the applied intensive treatment, the release added.

A detachment of the Romanian Army will parade under the Arch of Triumph in Paris at the traditional parade held on the Champs-Elysees Avenue on July 14, the National Day of France, the Press Office of the National Defence Ministry (MApN) reports in a release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
