Three terror suspects who were arrested on Wednesday are believed by police to have been planning a robbery, probably on a bank.
The arrests were hailed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as a "great success."

Zairi to head Union of Greek Prosecutors
Supreme Court deputy prosecutor Anna Zairi has been selected president of the Union of Greek Prosecutors, it was announced Wednesday.
Zairi will be replacing Eleftherios Michailidis who is stepping down after reaching retirement age.

Chios priest throws coins at SYRIZA MP's face over name deal
A SYRIZA MP for the eastern Aegean island of Chios, Andreas Michailidis, said on Sunday that he would complain to the local bishop after a priest attacked him in a village church.
The cleric reportedly threw a handful of coins at his face to protest the leftist government's contentious name deal with North Macedonia.

Koumentakis appointed new creative director of Greek National Opera
Composer Giorgos Koumentakis was appointed new creative director of the Greek National Opera on Thursday, following a decision by Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou.
Koumentakis, formerly in charge of the company's Alternative Stage, will succeed maestro Myron Michailidis, starting on February 3.
Handel's Messiah | Athens | December 23 & 25
Soprano Maria Palaska, countertenor Xavier Sabata, tenor Giannis Filias and bass Christophoros Stamboglis perform Handel's Messiah at the Athens Concert Hall on December 23 and 25. Also taking part in the concert is the Camerata Orchestra on period instruments, with Myron Michailidis on the podium. The performances feature Greek subtitles. Shows take place at 8.30 p.m.

Prosecutor asks for former Cypriot minister's conviction in money laundering case
An Athens prosecutor on Thursday asked for former Cypriot Interior Minister Dinos Michailidis (photo) and his son, Michalis, to be found guilty for their alleged involvement in a case involving kickbacks from defense deals.
Former Greek Defense Minister Akis Tsochatzopoulos has already been convicted for his alleged role in the money laundering network.
