The Chairman and the members of the Board of Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Athens expressed in their announcement their deepest regret "for the sudden loss of an important person for Greek entrepreneurship, the President of Industrial Chamber of Athens and Union of Hellenic Chambers, Constantinos Michalos.

Greece's business sector welcomed an announcement by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday of a return to normalcy and stability with the full lifting of capital controls imposed at the peak of the financial crisis.

A vandalism spree by self-styled anarchists in central Athens on Thursday night is believed to have caused some 70,000 euros in damages, the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EBEA) has said. 

According to EBEA representatives that inspected the damage, most of the stores targeted were clothing, shoe and accessory retailers, as well as two bank branches and a gallery. 

Greek goods exports incur losses of 12.6 percent - which based on 2018 figures amounts to 4.21 billion euros - from delays in exporting procedures, according to a study by EY Greece for the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA).
