Clashes erupt as foreclosed property auctions resume
Greek police have used tear gas to hold back dozens of protesters trying to disrupt foreclosed property auctions that resumed after a hiatus of several months.
Protesters pelted police with trash cans, fire extinguishers and other items at the Athens courthouse where the auctions were taking place Wednesday.
Online auction volumes better be big
Greece's creditors have told the government that online auctions must get up and running in 2018, with a satisfactory volume of auctions being processed through the new system in January and February, otherwise, as the European Central Bank has warned, local lenders will face the consequences in the upcoming stress tests.

The Government Allocates Further BGN 80 Million for Long-term Unemployed and Unqualified Citizens
Additional BGN 80 million are provided by the government to tackle unemployment in Bulgaria. Money will be directed to long-term unemployed and unskilled people. This is what Deputy Social Minister Zornitsa Rusinova told in front of the Bulgarian National Television.

Prince's guitar was sold for $ 700,000 at auction at Julien's Auctions, AP reported. The price is record-breaking for the musician's guitar, the auction house said.
There was a real war between the bidders for the blue-green guitar. Thus, the price was much higher than the preliminary estimate from $ 60,000 to $ 80,000.

USA: July jobs report beats expectations
The jobs report is out and it’s a beat.
In July, the U.S. economy added 209,000 jobs, more than the 180,000 expected by economists. The robust 222,000 jobs added in June were also revised up to 231,000.
Over the last three months, job gains have averaged 195,000 per month.

'Urban Mobility Center' Sofia to Rent Three Electric Cars for BGN 48,000
The municipal company "Urban Mobility Center" intends to rent three electric cars for BGN 48,000. The term of the rent is one year, according to the published documentation, a reporter told BGNES.
Although they do not say the main purpose of renting the electric cars, they are likely to be used to promote travel with eco vehicles.
Govt drafts investment promotion bill
After the end of the public consultation period, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology plans to harmonise the document with the other ministries in September, so that it could be adopted in October and passed in parliament at the beginning of 2018.

Turkish unemployment rate dips to 11.7 pct in March period, further dropping from 7-year high
Turkey's unemployment rate dropped to 11.7 percent in the February-April period, dipping further from a seven-year high at the start of the year but up from 10.1 percent a year earlier, official data showed on June 15.
