Today, with a moderate wind from the northwest, the eastern part of the country will be invaded by cool air, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) reported.

The air mass will be unstable, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, producing numerous rain showers and thunderstorms. Local heavy rain and hail are expected.

It will be sunny today, hot into the afternoon with maximum temperatures from 34C to 39C, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) told Focus News Agency. Later in the afternoon clouds will increase in the northern and mountainous areas, with thunderclouds bringing isolated rain showers. Local thunderstorms and hail are possible.

Today, from north to south, a cold front will pass through the country. Even before noon scattered showers possible in northern Bulgaria, by the end of the day also in many areas across the country. More widespread and heavier showers expected in central and eastern Bulgaria.

Code Orange warning for heavy rain with thunder is in place for 4 regions, Code Yellow for 12 Bulgarian regions, according to the website of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).

Today with temporary interruptions will be short-lived rainfall, in places - mainly in northern Bulgaria and in the mountain regions - intensive and significant in quantity. It will blow a mild to moderate wind from the north-northeast. The maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 32 degrees, according to the NIMH forecast.
 

It will be mostly sunny this morning. In the afternoon and by midnight, thunder clouds will form, bringing rain showers and thunderstorms to many places, mainly in western and central Bulgaria.
Chances of severe weather locally are still high, but in fewer places compared to the previous days. In the eastern areas rain is unlikely, expect more sunshine and higher temperatures.

Code Yellow warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms and hail has been issued for 9 Bulgarian regions, according to the NIMH website.

The warning is in place for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Sofia and Sofia-city. Rainfall of up to 25-30 l/sq. m is expected in these areas, or more in some places.

Before noon rainfalls in most areas will temporarily stop and the cloudiness will tear. In the afternoon and in the morning on Monday, in the western and central regions again, cumulus clouds will develop.
