Aksoy: ‘Turkey will continue resolutely to protect the rights of the Turkish Cypriots’
Turkey's ongoing survey and drilling activities off Cyprus aim at protecting the rights of Turkish Cypriots, a foreign ministry spokesman said Thursday, adding that "until these rights are guaranteed, Turkish Petroleum will continue to operate" in the areas licensed by the breakaway state.
Parliament condemns Trump peace plan
In a joint declaration, Turkey's parliament on Jan. 29 condemned the U.S.' peace plan for the Middle East.
Describing the so-called "deal of the century," as a "plan of instability and conflict," Turkish lawmakers underlined that it excluded Palestinians, "one of the two parts" of the dispute between Israel and Palestine.
