Citigroup discriminated against Armenian Americans, regulator says

Citigroup employees labeled a group of roughly 80,000 Armenian Americans living near Los Angeles - the largest Armenian community outside Yerevan, the Armenian capital - as "bad guys" and secretly denied them fair access to the bank's credit card products, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau said in a statement on Wednesday.

Appetite for hotel investments still strong: Association

The latest data for incentive certificates issued by authorities show that appetite for hotel investments remained strong in the first half of 2023, says Müberra Eresin, the president of the Hotel Association of Türkiye (TÖROB).

From January to September, 131 hotel projects with 23,725 rooms in the country's 29 of all 81 provinces received investment incentives, according to Eresin.

Suspicious package left in front of Türkevi Center in ??New York

Police have closed the street in front of the Türkevi Center in Manhattan to all traffic after a suspicious package was discovered in front of the building on Oct. 22.

Bomb disposal teams were sent to the scene along First Avenue between 45th and 46th streets. The package with red roses was found in front of the Türkevi Center building.
