Ukraine is frantically looking for fighter jets against Russia's invasion, and its pilots are literally begging for more planes. News from Romania could provide a partial solution, though perhaps not ideal, to the shortage of fighter jets in Ukraine, according to The Drive.

The Bulgarian Defense Ministry chose the Russian MiG Aircraft Corporation to provide the Air Force with the integrated logistics service for its 15 MiG-29 fighters for the next 48 months, Jane's 360 reports.

Bulgarian Defense Minister Krassimir Karakachanov signed the agreement on March 6 after talks with the Russian company ended on February 16th.

On Monday, Russia has started the first delivery of six Mikoyan MiG-29 fighter jets to Serbia, a source in the sphere of military-technical cooperation told Sputnik.

Military analyst Aleksandar Radic says there are indications that the MiG-29 jets from Russia will arrive in October.

"Moscow says they will arrive - it means they will arrive. All the bureaucratic obstacles have been overcome, and I believe they will arrive in October," he told Novi Magazin, and added:

Russia is all set to strike a "big military deal" with India. A top official of Russian fighter jet-manufacturing firm MiG has confirmed the news, saying that they want to supply the latest version of MiG-35s to the South Asian country.

The Bulgarian Defense Ministry has denied that it prevented the six MiG-29 warplanes that Russia has donated to Serbia from using its airspace.

Six Mikoyan MiG-29 multipurpose fighter jets, which Russia has presented to Serbia as a gift, will arrive in the Balkan country 'within several days or several weeks,' Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said after a meeting with the Russian president.

The fighter jets will enter service in the Serbian Air Force until the end of 2017 after repairs, the Serbian premier said.
