Bulgaria's Defense Ministry Denies Having Signed MiG-29 Repair Contract
No fighter jet repair contract has been signed between Bulgaria and Russian aircraft company MiG over the past months, the Defense Ministry in Sofia has said.
Its remarks follow reports by TASS news agency, which quoted the head of MiG as saying at an international defense expo that such a deal was sealed at the end of 2016 about aircraft in service with the Bulgarian Air Force.

Bulgaria's DefMin Formally Indicted over Abuse of Office
The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office says it has filed an indictment against outgoing Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev with the court.
Allegedly, two acts constituting "the same crime" inflicted substantial harm on the Bulgarian Armed Forces, according to the prosecution's press office.
Bulgaria's Defense Minister Summoned to Sofia Investigation Office
Outgoing Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev received a new summons to the Sofia Investigation Office late in December, his institution says.
No reason has been mentioned in the Defense Ministry's statement.
However, in just over a month the minister in resignation has been handed two indictments on two separate charges.

The Croatian office for suppressing corruption and organised crime, USKOK, filed an indictment on Friday against two Croatian citizens over the controversial deal to repair and buy MiG military jets from the Ukrainian state-owned arms company Ukrspecexport.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic will be on a one-day visit to Moscow on Wednesday to meet with Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu.
Vucic and Shoygu will finalise agreements on Serbia's purchase of modern fighter planes and discuss all other aspects of military economic and military education cooperation, Vucic's office announced.
