Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and senior military officers from the United States and Serbia are currently watching the battle firing of the tactical teaching "Shabla 2019".

The demonstrations are also attended by Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov and Defense Chief General Andrey Bocev, BTA reports.

The training includes air defense formations by the Bulgarian Army.

Bulgarian  delegation will travel to Washington on May 7 to negotiate the acquisition of a new type of combat aircraft for the Bulgarian army, Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov announced.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov attended the traditional military parade in Sofia on the occasion of the Bulgarian Army's Day of Bravery and the Feast of the Bulgarian Army - May 6th.

Traditionally, the Day of Bravery and the celebration of the Bulgarian Army - May 6 will be celebrated with a military parade in Sofia.

Minister Karakachanov congratulated the contingents for the Day of Courage, reported NOVA TV.  

On the eve of the holiday and head of state Rumen Radev honored the merits of senior military men. The president reminded that citizens have high expectations for the army to preserve its authority and develop modern defense capabilities.

In the next three days, in connection with the preparation and holding of the military parade on the occasion of the celebration of the Bulgarian Army Day and the Feast of the Bulgarian Army, helicopters and airplanes of the Air Force (Air Force) of the Republic of Bulgaria will perform flights flying at a low altitude above Knyaz Alexander I Square.

At the end of last year, for the first time in the last years, the troops arrived in the Bulgarian Army were more than those wo left. However, the unskilled military personnel in the army remains about 20 per cent. This was said at a press conference in Yambol Deputy Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Dimitar Iliev.
 

There is no imminent danger of a migratory wave for Bulgaria. If necessary, the army is ready to send up to 3000 troops at the border. This was announced on the official page of the Deputy Prime Minister of Public Order and Security, Minister of Defense and Chairman of VMRO-BN Krassimir Karakachanov.

At the "Novo Selo" training field begins the joint Bulgarian-American military excercise, which will last until October 19, 2019, informed the Ministry of Defense press center.
 
It will involve forces and resources from the Ministry of Defense, the structures of direct subordination to the Minister of Defense and the Bulgarian Army.
 

The Head of State and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev will be acquainted with the analysis of the preparation, the army order and the discipline in the Bulgarian Army and the structures of the direct subordination of the Minister of Defense during the school year 2018.
