ISIS latest execution, 8 men executed and hung (photos + video)
Eight shia men were executed and hung upside down at Kirkuk in Iraq by ISIS militants. Photos and footage of the horrific crime spread over the internet. The man posing next to the bodies is Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Iraqi. The reason for the crime is that some of the men were wearing uniforms, causing the militants to assume they were soldiers.
Missing persons committee apologizes for remains mix-up
A committee charged with uncovering the fate missing Cypriots has apologized to a family for giving them bone fragments that didn?t belong to their loved one.
The United Nations-led Committee on Missing Persons said Thursday that some small bones were "incorrectly associated" with the deceased from a Greek Cypriot family.
Turkey's first lady visits new refugee camp on Syrian border
President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an?s wife Emine Erdo?an visited a refugee camp in Suruç, a town in the southeastern province of ?anl?urfa, to mark the official opening of the facility.
The camp hosts Syrian Kurds who have fled their homes in Kobane on the Turkish border after attacks by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), who had besieged the town for around five months.
Tikrit operations cause 28,000 to flee: UN
Military operations aimed at retaking the Iraqi city of Tikrit from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) jihadist group have caused around 28,000 people to flee their homes, the United Nations said on March 5.
"Military operations in and around Tikrit have precipitated displacement of an estimated 28,000 people to Samarra," a UN statement said.

Turkey will help Iraq retake Mosul, Prime Minister Davuto?lu vows
