Stoyan Tonev, the former head of the Military Medical Academy in Sofia, has been indicted for the second time in half a year, prosecutors say.

According to the Military District Prosecutor's Office, Tonev allegedly inflicted BGN 16.33 M in damage on the hospital through five deals the institution contracted during his term in office.

Military doctors will receive education at civilian medical schools as part of new regulations introduced after the July 15 failed coup attempt, believed to have been masterminded by the Gülenist movement.
