Today, citizens of Serbia elect the president and new composition of the parliament.

According to the latest data from IPSOS Serbia and CeSID, 29.8 percent of citizens in Serbia went to the polls by 2 p.m.

Minister of Culture and Media Vladan Vukosavljevic will speak at the opening of the Fair on 1 May, while "Days of Serbia" and the stand of the Republic of Serbia will be officially opened on May 2, the government announced on Friday.

Books by Milos Crnjanski, Ivo Andric, Mesa Selimovic, Danilo Kis, Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic, Dositej Obradovic and others authors will be presented.

In a makeshift treatment room, Kraljevo's doctors prescribed books by Serbian and foreign authors as a therapy.

BELGRADE - The piece for soprano and piano titled "Trag" (Trace), composed by Ana Krstajic, has triumphed in the Ithaca Women's Works Young Composer Competition.

BELGRADE - Dragonslayers (Zmajeubice), a play written by Serbian playwright Milena Markovic and directed by Iva Milosevic, will be staged by a Yugoslav Drama Theatre (JDP) troupe at the National Theatre in Prague on November 3 and the Schauspielhaus theatre in Graz on November 6.

BELGRADE - An exhibition of the Legacy of Milos Crnjanski of the Serbian National Library opened at the Serbian Cultural Centre in Paris on Wednesday, before a large crowd, the library has stated.

The exhibition is the first one after the redecoration of the centre, whose library will bear the name of Milos Crnjanski, a famous Serbian and writer.

BELGRADE - Education Minister Srdjan Verbic has said on Monday that the new public presentation of former Megatrend rector Mica Jovanovic's PhD from another university just confirms the ministry's previous statements.

"Croatia wants to be a country where everyone has the opportunity to affirm their culture and tradition," Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said at Thursday's opening of the Serbian Cultural Centre in the town of Pula, on the tip of the Istrian peninsula.

"Croatia is ready to lend a hand to all people of goodwill, including friends from the Republic of Serbia," Josipovic said.
