Bosnians Urged to Vote as Local Polls Open

More than 5,000 polling stations opened Sunday at 7am as voters were urged to go out and cast ballots in Bosnia's local elections.

"There is no reason why, on October 2, you shouldn't take a small amount of time to go to the polling station and circle the option that suits you," Ahmed Santic, president of the Central Election Commission, CIK, told the media.

Dodik: There will be more referendums

Dodik summoned for questioning over Republika Srpska referendum

SARAJEVO - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has been summoned for questioning as a suspect over the holding of Sunday's Republika Srpska Day referendum, the Fena news agency reported Monday.

Dodik: Referendum was about RS Day, not status

BANJALUKA - Sunday's referendum in Republika Srpska (RS) was about the RS Day, not about status, says RS President Milorad Dodik.

The RS will respond with referendums in situations where attempts are made to deprive it of its rights, Dodik said at a press conference in Banjaluka late Sunday, after which a reporter asked him whether a referendum on independence should be ruled out.
