Bosnian Serb Leader Postpones Controversial Referendum
Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik yielded to growing internal and international pressure on Monday and announced he was postponing the disputed referendum which had threatened to raise ethnic tensions in the country.

RS President Milorad Dodik has said that Bosnia-Herzegovina is "a state union," while state competencies on all levels are held by its entities.
These entities are the Serb Republic (RS) and the Croat-Muslim Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina (FBiH).
Dodik talks about referendum, terror threat
RS President Milorad Dodik has said the Serb entity will hold a referendum on the work of the Court and the Prosecution of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He told Belgrade-based broadcaster Pink that this topic had not been discussed during his most recent meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

Serb Presidency member wants no part in Serb quarrels
Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic has said he will not take part in "Serb quarrels."
He declined to comment on Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic's statement that Ivanic - the leader of an opposition party from the Serb entity (RS) - does not represent that entity, and is working against RS President Milorad Dodik.

The Bosnian Serb presidency told BIRN that events to mark Republic Day would go ahead on January 9, despite the fact that the annual holiday celebrating the entity's foundation was ruled unconstitutional by the state Constitutional Court because it discriminates against non-Serb residents of Republika Srpska.
