Parliament in Bosnia’s Serb-led entity Republika Srpska rejected a proposal from a Bosniak delegate to adopt a resolution condemning the Srebrenica massacres as genocide.

Milorad Dodik says the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not interested in solving the case of attack Aleksadar Vucic.

The Serbian prime minister was assaulted in Potocari on July 11.

RS President Milorad Dodik has called Bakir Izetbegovic the biggest generator of obstacles "to all processes in Bosnia."

Dodik accused him of wanting to create "a unitary and sharia state out of Bosnia-Herzegovina."

This Bosniak (Muslim) member of the country's tripartite presidency was referring to the Muslim-Croat Federation (FBiH) entity of Bosnia. Dodik is the president of the Serb entity, the RS.

A Western diplomat told BIRN on Wednesday that Dodik's letter explaining his motives for a proposed referendum challenging the authority of the state judiciary and the international High Representative's office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, both of which he believes are biased against Serbs, has been ignored by international officials.

Milorad Dodik says it is "logical" that Russia has supported the Serb entity's intention to hold a referendum on the state-level justice system in Bosnia.

Bosniak delegates to the Council of Peoples in the Republika Srpska assembly on Thursday used their veto powers to block the assembly's decision last week to hold a referendum on the authority of the state judicial institutions and the Office of the High Representative.
