Cyprus approves supplementary budget
The Plenary of Cyprus' House of Representatives approved the supplementary state budget amounting to 361 million euros on Thursday, with criticism against the government's agreement for the purchase of the Metropolitan building in Nicosia, which will house the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance.

Hoteliers struggling to find workers amid labor shortage
Although tourism activity has rebounded with the COVID-19 pandemic-related troubles put behind, the industry is now facing another problem: Labor shortage.
Turkish hoteliers are trying to overcome this problem by hiring workers from other nations, such as Turkic countries and even from Indonesia, even though this costs them more.
Lowest-paid civil servant to receive 22,000 Turkish Liras
The lowest salary of Türkiye's civil servants will be increased to 22,000 Turkish Liras, Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan has said.
The government is currently working on civil servants' pay and improvements in pensions, Işıkhan told reporters.
The salary raise challenge
Setting the minimum salary at 950 euros per month, from €780 today, and the average at €1,500 from €1,176.5 in end-2022 and €1,184 in end-May, is one of the key objectives of New Democracy, which is widely expected to win another four-year term in the elections this Sunday.

Minimum wage hiked 34 percent
The new minimum wage has been increased by 34 percent from 8,506 Turkish Liras to 11,402 liras (around $483), Labor and Social Security Minister Vedat Işıkhan has announced.

Talks on minimum wage hike set to start this week

Restrictions on retail lending to be eased in July
