Slovakia has banned the processing and sale of grain from Ukraine because of pesticides. This was reported by the Romanian media, referring to a message from the Ministry of Agriculture of Slovakia dated April 13, BTA reported.

Almost a quarter of farmers who applied for subsidies under thе support scheme last year did not receive the money due to attempted fraud. This was announced at an emergency briefing by the director of the Agriculture Fund Vasil Grudev.

Bulgarian Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva attended a meeting of the consultative council on grain, Focus News Agency reported. The meeting took place in the building of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and lasted for about an hour.
