The Culture and Tourism Ministry has launched an investigation into a controversial music video by Hikmet Eraslan, a businessman turned DJ with the pseudonym Mr. Dosso Dossi, filmed at the İshak Pasha Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the eastern province of Ağrı.

A flute played 88 years ago by Zahit Özsezen, a solo flutist in the early years of the Turkish Republic, has been found in the U.S.

The wooden flute, called Non-Boehm, which Özsezen used about a century ago, has recently returned to the Turkish capital from California.

Bulgaria marked a commendable effort in heritage preservation as it returned around 3,000 ancient coins to Turkey last year, 2023. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy revealed this significant restoration of historical artifacts.

Under the baton of conductor Gürer Aykal, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) performed a special concert in memory of İsmet İnönü, the second president of Türkiye, on the night of Dec. 22 at CSO Ada Ankara in the Turkish capital.

This year's winners of the Culture and Tourism Ministry Special Awards, which have been presented for 44 years, are the Association for the Survival and Development of Anatolian Handicrafts (Anelsander), the İbrahim Alimoğlu Music Museum and the Sadberk Hanım Museum.

Swiss authorities have presented a centennial composition as a gift to Türkiye, which is celebrating the 100th year of its foundation this year, blending traditional Turkish and Swiss melodies.

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra has given a concert at the 2,200-year-old historic theater in the Aegean province of Denizli's ancient city of Laodicea.

More than 15,000 people attended the concert at the ancient theater on June 23, hosted by the provincial governor's office and the municipality.

Veteran musician and conductor Professor Rengim Gökmen says that music is an art that soothes harsh and violent feelings of human beings and penetrates into their souls. 

Turkey aims to attract as many as 50 million foreign holidaymakers and generate $50 billion in tourism revenues in 2023, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has said.
