Counter-Terrorism Training Exercise To Be Held at Plovdiv Airport on September 27
A counter-terrorism training session will take place at Plovdiv Airport on September 27, reported the Ministry of Interior.
A perimeter will be set up and training is expected to start at 10:00 hrs.
Serbian Armed Forces launch their largest-ever exercise
BELGRADE - The Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) have launched Morava 2016, a major command and tactical exercise, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement on Tuesday.
The exercise encompasses the operational capabilities of the land and air forces, with a part of the reserve personnel and individuals on compulsory work duty also to be involved.
Russia to Create Three New Military Divisions to Counter NATO
BELGRADE - Russia will create two new military divisions in its Western Military District and one in its Southern Military District to counter NATO's build-up on Russia's borders, Defense Minister Gen. Sergei Shoigu said Wednesday.
Over the past two years, NATO has carried out a number of large-scale military exercises along the alliance's eastern flank, bordering Russia.
Djordjevic, Scott discuss Serbia, U.S. military cooperation
BELGRADE - Serbian Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic and U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott met in Belgrade Wednesday to discuss key aspects of bilateral military cooperation and overall development of relations between Serbia and the U.S., the Ministry of Defense said in a release.

Serbian Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic and U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott met in Belgrade "to discuss key aspects of bilateral military cooperation."
They also spoke about "overall development of relations between Serbia and the U.S.," the Ministry of Defense said.
Bulgarian Government Adopts National Defence Strategy
At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Bulgarian government adopted the national defence strategy.
The strategy is a result of last-year's mid-term review of the strategic document which has been in force since 2011.
The main changes to the document are related to the altered strategic security environment and the arising consequences.
Serbian Security Agency Out of Control, Ombudsman
In his 2015 report submitted to Serbia's parliament on Wednesday, Ombudsman Jankovic said the state of human rights in Serbia was far from satisfactory.
In the section on the police and secret services, Jankovic said the Military Security Agency, VBA, had actively sought information about the activities of various political parties and movements.
