Türkiye has announced the visit by Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis to Ankara as ties between the two neighboring countries started to improve especially after the establishment of new governments in both nations.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his French counterpart, Catherine Colonna, engaged in a telephone conversation to discuss the Turkish Cypriot government's Pile-Yiğitler Road project and the critical grain deal.

Bolstering Greece's international presence with more extroverted and growth-oriented diplomacy was among the key elements of the multifaceted policy program presented by Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis in Parliament on Saturday.

Senior officials from Sweden and Turkey arrived at NATO headquarters Thursday to examine Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's objections to the Nordic country joining the military alliance and to see what more, if anything, could be done to break the deadlock.

Foreign Minister Vassilis Kaskarelis held a conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry on Monday to discuss regional and international developments.

Turkish and Egyptian top diplomats have elaborated on the further steps as part of the ongoing normalization of bilateral ties after the two counties' leaders agreed to exchange ambassadors after a decade of strained relations.

At a ceremony this morning, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel accepted the position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Acting Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov.

"All together we must defend the place and role of our country in the EU and in the world. Let's turn challenges into opportunities," said Gabriel during the ceremony.

Türkiye's newly appointed foreign minister, Hakan Fidan, has emphasized that he will work to further improve "national foreign policy" in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision and values during his tenure.

The Minister of the Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev announced that a representative of the Bulgarian Ministry of the Interior will be admitted by the authorities in the Republic of South Africa to the investigation into the case of the wanted by Interpol Krasimir Kamenov - Karo, who was killed yesterday along with three other people in Cape Town.
