Minister of National Defense Mihai Fifor said on Tuesday that there is an urgent need to take a step further in the psychological assistance to the Romanian Army, adding that, very probably, a new concept in the field will be presented by early March.
Fifor is having on Tuesday a meeting with psychologists in the Romanian Army.
Romanian-Moldovan bilateral military cooperation, regional security strengthening as well as the cooperation relations between the Republic of Moldova with the North-Atlantic Alliance and the European Union were among the topics tackled during the meeting in Chisinau, between National Defence Minister Mihai Fifor and his counterpart of the Republic of Moldova, Eugen Sturza.
The “Parmenion” annual national defence exercise wrapped up on Thursday in eastern Rhodes in the presence of Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Admiral Evangelos Apostolakis, the chiefs of all branches of the Greek defence forces, and regional administration staff.
Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos said Greece had seen similar threats by Turkey in the past, commenting on Turkey’s warning that it would scrap the EU-Turkey agreement on refugees after the decision by the Greek Supreme Court to block the extradition of 8 Turkish military officers charged with taking part in the failed coup attempt in 2015 against Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government.
Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos greeted US President Barack Obama at the Athens International Airport, Tuesday morning and relayed his quick conversation with the US commander in chief in an interview to radio station “Real FM”. Kammenos said Obama told him it was his personal choice to visit Greece on his last trip as President.
