CSAT decision on Portuguese military resources stationing in Romania referred to Parliament

President Klaus Iohannis referred to Parliament the decision of the Country's Supreme Defence Council (CSAT) on the stationing on Romania's territory of Portuguese military resources, the Presidential Administration informed on Wednesday.

DefMin Dusa and Lithuanian Ambassador to Bucharest discuss reinforcement of NATO's eastern flank

Defence Minister Mircea Dusa on Tuesday at the headquarters of the MApN [Ministry of National Defence] had a meeting with the Lithuanian Ambassador in Bucharest, Arvydas Pocius, on which occasion they talked about the security on the NATO's eastern flank and the bilateral cooperation in the defence field.

Military parade on Romania National Day in Constitution Square

The military parade on the occasion of Romania National Day - December 1 - started with the arrival of incumbent president, Traian Basescu at the Constitution Square in front of the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, at 11:00 a.m.

The president hailed the military gathered there, after that the national anthem was sung.
