Türkiye's new stealth drone Anka-3 performs maiden flight
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced the successful maiden flight of the Anka-3, a flying-wing unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ).
Erdoğan, taking to X on Dec. 28, expressed his optimism regarding the Anka-3's potential contributions.
Turkey seeks to use F-16 engines in own fighter planes
Turkey has requested permission from the US to co-produce GE Aerospace engines used in F-16 jets, with an aim to deploy them in the TAI Kaan, its own domestically produced fighter plane, Bloomberg has reported.
Göktürk-1 marks 7 years in space
Göktürk-1 satellite has completed 37,378 orbits around the Earth and has captured 82,913 images so far, the Defense Ministry has announced celebrating its seventh year in space.
Göktürk-1 satellite, often hailed as "our eye in the sky" in Türkiye, reached this milestone by circling the Earth uninterruptedly since its launch on Dec. 5, 2016.

Türkiye to modernize F16s into 'viper level' warplanes by 2030
The Turkish Air Force Command plans to modernize 165 F16 jets with block levels of 30, 40 and 50, gradually transforming them into powerful viper level warplanes by the year 2030, local media has reported.
The move comes as part of Türkiye's efforts to bolster its air combat capabilities in the face of potential weaknesses resulting from its exclusion from the F35 program.
T-925 multi-purpose helicopter to take off next year

Chad receives new aircraft, UAVs from Türkiye
The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has announced the delivery of three Hürkuş basic trainer aircraft and two Anka unmanned aerial vehicles to Chad.
In a video posted by the Chadian Defense Ministry, the Armée de l'Air Tchadienne (Chad Air Force) showcased the new equipment to President Mahamat Déby.

Renault establishes new firm to enhance investments in Turkey
Renault Group, which has been operating in Turkey since 1968, has decided to establish a new company to enhance its investments in the country, according to a company statement released on Dec. 1.
Hakan Doğu, who is a member of Renault Group Corporate Management Committee, will lead Renault Group Otomotiv A.Ş. as the CEO, according to the statement.
Turkish satellites monitor damages from space
Göktürk 1 and 2, two Earth observation satellites of the Turkish Defense Ministry, have photographed the wildfires in the Mediterranean province of Antalya's Manavgat district and the Aegean province of Muğla's Marmaris district and the damage they have caused from space.
