The General Secretary of the Hellenic Tourism Organization-EOT Dimitris Fragakis is holding a meeting on tourism in Evia today, Monday, January 23.

"Bulgarian tourism is becoming increasingly more competitive because of its wide variety of high-quality services.

The Turkish publishing sector will participate in the International Frankfurt Book Fair, one of the world's leading publishing gatherings, with rich content under the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Social media accounts and websites from museums and historical sites managed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism have been consolidated into one website.

The government approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Tourism of the Arab Republic of Egypt as the basis for negotiations between the two countries.

For the period January-September 2017 visits of foreign tourists for treatment purposes were about 26,300. For the whole 2016, the visits to this purpose were over 47,500, said Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva.

Bulgaria and Montenegro will jointly draw up an action plan for exchange of experience in tourism. The document will be drafted and expected to be approved by the countries in March 2018. This was made clear during a meeting between Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova and Pavle Radulovic, Montenegrin Tourism Minister.
