Qatar sends World Cup containers to quake-hit Hatay
As part of the efforts to shelter the survivors of the deadly Feb. 6 quakes, containers used by Qatar for the 2022 World Cup have started to be set up in the southern quake-hit province of Hatay, and about 596 families will be placed in 600 of these containers in the first phase of the project.
‘People can donate containers to quake zone’
In the aftermath of the deadly Feb. 6 quakes, the problem of shelters continues to persist, as the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has announced that citizens or companies who are willing can donate containers to the quake zone, in a bid to provide adequate accommodation to quake survivors.

Another US donation to help Slovenia in fight against Covid-19
Ljubljana – The United States has made another donation to Slovenia to help it contain the Covid-19 epidemic, a EUR 270,000-worth shipment of containers delivered to the Slovenian Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief on Wednesday.
Containers with illegal waste, spotted in Constanta maritime port
Containers loaded with waste brought via ship from various countries were spotted by the border police of southeastern Constanta port, the waste being illegally imported into Romania by two companies registered in the county of Prahova and Bucharest Municipality, the Coast Guard informed on Thursday. The cargo were falsely declared as being used domestic goods.
Two other waste containers brought from UK in Constanta Port, in addition to 16 recently found
Two other containers of waste brought from the United Kingdom were detected in the Constanta Sud Agigea Port (South-East), as investigations were pursued in the case of the 16 waste containers discovered in the same port, informed on Monday the Coast Guard.
Indonesia Returns Tonnes of Waste to the West
Indonesia returns 547 garbage containers to the west after finding plastic and hazardous materials in it, the Associated Press reported.
Customs spokesman Heru Pambudi said nine containers containing 135 tonnes of waste were already shipped back to Australia.
